Leo Phillippi, the General Manager for Renaissance Casa De Palmas Hotel made the necessary space in the lobby of the hotel and a luxury suite to host the Meet and Greet, Community Farewell for Ylianna Guerra Miss Texas USA 2015.
The community got involved in this event because Ylianna is ready to participate in The 64th Annual MISS USA® Pageant which will air LIVE Sunday, July 12 (7-10 p.m. CT) on REELZCHANNEL from The Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Mr. Phillippi’s participation is based on the thought that it is important to support somebody from the community and all the businesses that are involved supporting the Miss Texas USA pageant. “I think that it’s important that we keep the hotel in-tune with the business community and be supportive of our people by assisting with programs like this,” he told Texas Border Business.
Tell us about the hotel? “We are known as the Renaissance Casa De Palmas Hotel, formerly the Casa De Palmas Hotel.” He said, “We are a 96-year-old property, historical landmark in the community, which also took part with Ylianna going to the pageant. It was important that they wanted to have it at a place well known in the community.”
The hotel has 165 guest rooms, and has newly remodeled the ballrooms, the public areas, the lobby area, and the restaurant lounge. “We were recognized as one of the top leading hotels including beverage service last year with Renaissance Hotels.” He continued, “We’ve really done a lot with the restaurant. We are planning on renovating all the guest rooms the later part of this year. We are in the process of the planning stages for that and by next year, we are going to have a whole brand new hotel.”
Renaissance Casa De Palmas Hotel is a 24-hour service, full service hotel. It has meeting rooms, banquet facilities, a restaurant, lounge, concierge lounge, and room service.
