Brownsville, TX – Local Rio Grande Valley (RGV) restaurant, Wing Barn is named one of the ‘Top 25 Best Places for Chicken Wings in Texas’.

Wing Barn is a locally owned, family business that opened in Brownsville, TX, in 2010. Since then, Wing Barn has opened seven locations across the Rio Grande Valley, including in Olmito, McAllen, Harlingen, and Edinburg. Wing Barn prides itself on being a local, family-owned and operated restaurant that offers hand made food.

“It’s exciting to be recognized as one of the best places for wings in Texas,” says Bobby Saenz, Brownsville resident, and Wing Barn CEO. “But, honestly, I’m not surprised. We have a world-class offering of chicken wings and they are all delicious! Also, the atmosphere where guests eat is very family-friendly. We welcome big south Texas families, teams, students, or community groups to come, move tables around so they can sit together and enjoy our handmade, delicious food.”

Wing Barn offers over 20 made from scratch chicken wing sauces. The most popular are Cilantro lime, garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, razz chipotle, garlic serrano, and mango habanero.

“Wing Barn is the only chicken wing restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley to make the list,” said Chef Daniel Pompa, who created the chicken wing sauce recipes. “That’s a big honor. At Wing Barn, we fill our menu with big, bold flavors because we know the RGV, we grew up here, our kids go to school here and we know what flavors our community likes and what tastes dang good.”

The recognition comes from Big 7 Travel, which provides insider information on cities across the world. According to Big 7 Travel, the ‘Best of” lists are based on editorial opinions and experiences, previous critic reviews, online customer reviews, location and accessibility, online presence, consistency, atmosphere and service, value and presentation.

Wing Barn opened in Brownsville, TX, in 2010. It is a family-owned and operated business in the Rio Grande Valley serving hand made food. Currently, there are 7 locations. Two more locations are scheduled to open in 2020 in San Juan, TX, and Weslaco, TX.
