In addition, they have partnered up with SBA, UTRGV Small Business Development Center and Micro lenders LiftFund and PeopleFund. They are able to assist people who want to start up or expand their business to get funding, provide workshops throughout the year on business related issues such as tax issues, employees, customer service, legal issues for small businesses, etc. They also have a close relationship with the state and federal elected officials whom they express their concerns to over topics that hurt the Rio Grande Valley and/or their members.
The RGVHCC works hard to help their members but they also offer fun networking opportunities on a monthly basis. They host a Manic Monday Mixer every month at different venues that are chamber members in order to give members an opportunity to network at a fun setting.
Any member who wants to participate in the Membership Drive is more than welcome. If they recruit 2 new members they will get a 50% discount on their 2020 membership dues. The membership drive is a fundraising effort for the chamber as the RGVHCC is solely funded by membership dues, fundraising events and corporate partnerships.
