On October 10, 2025, JG Customs Forwarding LLC opened the doors to its new 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Pharr, Texas — a modern logistics facility built on vision, perseverance, and faith. The inauguration marked a milestone that founder and president Mr. José M. (JM) Guerra described as “the fulfillment of a vision — a work that was born in prayer, strengthened through effort, and completed under the grace of God.”

Before an audience of family, employees, partners, and community members, Mr. Guerra began the ceremony by reading from Nehemiah 2:18: “Then I told them how the hand of my God had been good upon me, and they said, ‘Let us rise up and build.’ So, they strengthened their hands for the good work.” His words reflected the spiritual foundation behind his company’s growth. Drawing parallels to Nehemiah’s mission, Mr. Guerra shared, “Every step taken, every wall raised, and every decision made has been a testament to the truth that the hand of our God has been good upon us. When a vision is born in prayer and built with purpose, God accelerates what seems impossible.”

The project began in 2019 and took six years to complete — not simply as a corporate expansion, but as what Mr. Guerra called “a manifestation of divine faithfulness.” He recalled seasons of uncertainty and challenge, testifying that through each phase, “we witnessed God opening doors, providing resources, and renewing our strength.”

Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Karla Guerra, and their daughters, Savannah and Valentina, Mr. Guerra offered heartfelt thanks to his family. “Behind every visible success, there has been a quiet prayer,” he said, expressing gratitude for his wife’s unwavering support and his daughters’ inspiration. “May this warehouse stand as a reminder that nothing is impossible when God is at the center — and that every goal in life can be achieved with prayer, discipline, and purpose.”
Mr. Guerra also extended sincere appreciation to Chase Bank for its financial partnership and to Member Construction for its professionalism and craftsmanship. The company’s Business Relationship Manager, Frank Foreman, who attended the ceremony, praised Mr. Guerra’s leadership and foresight. “It has been a real pleasure working with Guerra. He has a great design and great vision for what he’s trying to accomplish. We value this partnership deeply.”
The facility, Foreman confirmed, includes 18 operational bays designed for customs and forwarding operations — a major leap in capacity for the company.
Mr. Hugo Martínez, president of Member Construction, described the warehouse as “a custom-made suit,” explaining that it was built using precast concrete wall panels, a metal roof system, and TPO roofing with four-inch polyurethane insulation, offering an R-25 energy efficiency rating. “This design keeps the building cool and comfortable, which improves worker efficiency and product care,” Martínez noted. “It’s a unique project — strong, efficient, and spiritually grounded.”
The Guerra family expressed a special thank you to J. Michael Ortega, Senior Vice President of IBC Bank, for his longstanding support of the Guerra family and his encouragement at the start of this project. Appreciation is also extended to Architect Camilo Requejo, whose design brought the building to life.

A dedication prayer led by Pastor Fernando Abella of Calvary Baptist Church added a sacred moment to the occasion. Reading from I Kings 8, Pastor Abella prayed, “Though this is not a temple, may each one be a temple of Your Holy Spirit. May all that is done here bring glory and honor to Your Holy Name.” The prayer concluded with a collective “Amen,” as guests raised their hands in agreement.

Following the dedication, a ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolized the official opening of the facility, accompanied by applause, photographs, and a shared sense of gratitude and accomplishment.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Guerra reflected on the deeper meaning of the day: “Nehemiah built a wall for his generation, yet his legacy has transcended the centuries. Today, we too are building something that will endure — a testimony of faith and purpose.” He concluded with conviction, “Let us rise up and build, for the hand of our God has been good upon us.”

Under Mr. Guerra’s leadership, JG Customs Forwarding LLC continues to expand its impact across North America.
