McALLEN, Texas – The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Episcopal Diocese of West Texas has selected McAllen as its host city for the 2025 Annual Council.
The February 2024 conference is expected to draw over 400 visitors to the McAllen Convention Center that could generate an economic impact of over $280,000.
Throughout the year, the McAllen Chamber’s Tourism Department ‘Convention & Visitors Bureau’ diligently facilitates conferences that attract participants from various industries. These conferences play a significant role in generating substantial revenue for our city.
Each year, Diocesan Council is the vehicle through which the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas conducts the business of the organization under its Canons and Constitution. During the council gathering, members will receive and adopt the diocesan budgets for the upcoming year, hear reports from ministries and receive written reports from all diocesan committees, commissions and departments.
“We are going to welcome the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas with open arms to our city,” Convention Sales Manager Maritza Munoz said. “We’re thrilled they have chosen McAllen as their designated spot to host their annual council.”
