According to U.S. News & World Report, the 2020 Best High Schools rankings take a holistic approach to evaluating schools, looking at six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates. Specifically, college readiness measures participation and performance on Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. The methodology assigns weights to each of the six factors and then produces an overall score on which the ranking is based.

This year, IDEA Public Schools is celebrating 20 years of impact for students, families, staff and communities. During the last two decades, IDEA Public Schools has grown from a small school with 150 students to the fastest-growing network of tuition-free, Pre-K-12 public charter schools in the United States.
