MISSION, Texas – On Monday, March 6, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Mission Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Chrysler minivan at the intersection of FM 494 and US 83. During the interview with the driver, there were signs of criminal activity; therefore, a Mission Police K-9 was requested.
As a result of the K-9 alert, the vehicle was searched. A false compartment was discovered on the floorboard of the vehicle. The search yielded to 18 bundles (19.9 Kilos) of Fentanyl.
A male adult was taken into custody.
