After serving the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas for the past 133 years, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. continues to take the lead in presenting a program that allows those who attend to gain knowledge and information that will impact the way they do business. Edwards Abstract and Title Co. is pleased to announce that the title insurance company will host the 10th Annual State of Real Estate Forum on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
The Forum has been coordinated in Hidalgo County for the past ten years. Dr. Ted C. Jones, Senior Vice President-Chief Economist for Stewart Title Guaranty Company and Director of Investor Relations for Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE-STC) has served as the keynote speaker for the past eight years. Dr. Jones’ presentation is titled The New Normal for the Economy and Real Estate. Some of the issues to be addressed are job growth, interest rates, specific local market analysis and various other indicators that affect the overall economy. The 10th Annual State of Real Estate Forum will be held at the McAllen Convention Center from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Registration will start at 8:30 and the program begins at 9:00 a.m.
The State of Real Estate Forum is an important component of Edwards Abstract and Title Co.’s business model. The State of Real Estate Forum was created as a unique program that provides the latest data related to the local, state and national economy and real estate industry.
Edwards Abstract and Title Co. is the largest independently owned title insurance provider in the South Texas region with seven locations. There is no cost to attend, however reservations are required to accommodate all who participate. Over 300 realtors, lenders, real estate attorneys, builders, developers and city and county leaders attended the Forum held in January, 2013.
