Edwards Abstract and Title Co. was nominated, recognized and honored as the 2016 Affiliate Member of the Year during the annual Installation Banquet held recently. The company is an avid supporter of the GMAR events, programs, realtor education and training in addition to sponsoring several association activities. “We are honored to be acknowledged by the Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee for doing what we do best, giving back to those we serve,” said Byron Jay Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Edwards.
The Greater McAllen Association of Realtors Nominating Committee outlines criteria that must be met in order to be considered as a nominee. These include the affiliate member activity in local the Association; Professionalism and Affiliate Spirit. Six special requirements must also be met in order to be considered for the award.
During the Installation Banquet, 2016 GMAR President Adrian A. Arriaga (AAA Real Estate & Investments) was honored for his service and leadership. Incoming President Aaron Nick Cantu (Jinks Realty) was officially installed to begin serving effective January 1, 2017. The 2017 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs were also recognized at the banquet.
