In 2004, what started as a program to inform and educate real estate industry professionals throughout the region, regarding the state of the local economy, the Edwards Abstract and Title Co. State of Real Estate Forum is celebrating the 20th Anniversary!
Every year, the attendance has attracted of many of the leading Realtors, real estate attorneys, mortgage lenders, commercial lenders, economic development corporations, business men and women, local, state and national elected officials. So many have supported the Real Estate Forum, that the event has out-grown several venues due to the larger attendance.
Edwards Abstract and Title Co. is honored and pleased to announce that Dr. Ted C. Jones will once again headline the 20th Annual State of Real Estate Forum. Dr. Jones, PhD, National Economist and Sr. Vice President will serve as the keynote speaker. The State of Real Estate Forum is scheduled on Thursday, March 14th at the McAllen Convention Center Ballroom starting at 8:30 a.m.
Dr. Guy Bailey, President of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, has accepted the invitation to serve as the guest speaker. He was named President of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in May 2014. Prior to being named President of UTRGV, Bailey served as President of the University of Alabama and of Texas Tech University; Chancellor of the University of Missouri Kansas City; and Provost and Executive Vice President of The University of Texas San Antonio.
Dr. Bailey will share an overview of the many programs, degrees, innovations such as the medical and business schools and student population. UT Rio Grande Valley spans the four-county RGV in deep South Texas. The university includes two main campus locations in Edinburg and Brownsville with teaching, research, and medical locations. UT RGV is committed to student success, access and engagement for one of the largest Hispanic student bodies in the country. The annual event is coordinated by Edwards Abstract and Title Co. as a valuable service to real estate industry professionals. During the past 20 years, the State of Real Estate Forum has provided in-depth information regarding the local, state and national economies.
