McAllen, Texas – IBC Bank-McAllen is proud to announce the appointment of Edna G. Posada and Dr. Victor Hugo Gonzalez to their board of directors.
Posada’s self-starter attitude has made her a very successful entrepreneur in South Texas. In 1989, she formed the Aldani, Inc. to purchase a small retail cosmetic store in McAllen. Thirty years later, Posada has grown her company under the Aldani, Inc. umbrella to include three Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios, and two Spa La Posada locations offering a broad range of spa and salon services; Leona, a clothing boutique; and a professional barber shop in McAllen.
Posada not only reaches customers in the Rio Grande Valley with her services and products, she also provides stability and opportunity to over 30 employees. Posada is a graduate of the Stanford School of Business Entrepreneurs Scaling Program.
In addition, Posada is the recipient of numerous awards including Small Corporation of the Year by the RGV Hispanic Chamber, Business Woman of the Year of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and the McAllen Hispanic Chamber, SBA Women in Business Advocate of the Year for the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Region VI, and McAllen Chamber’s Top 5 Business.
“I am humbled and honored to serve on the IBC Bank-McAllen board of directors,” said Posada. “I have always been drawn to serving the Rio Grande Valley. I am looking forward to working with the other board members and supporting the bank’s initiatives and continuing to create opportunities for existing and future customers.”
Victor H. Gonzalez, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist. He specializes in ophthalmology and diseases and surgery of the eye and the retina. He started his practice in 1995 and now has six locations that serve the entire Rio Grande Valley region.
Dr. Gonzalez earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed his residency at Doheny Eye Institute at Los Angeles County Hospital in Los Angeles, California and completed a rigorous vitreoretinal fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Gonzalez is highly active in professional societies. He formerly served as President of the Texas Ophthalmological Association. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and a member of the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Gonzalez is a distinguished national and international lecturer who has provided several trainings and eye care to many underserved areas in Latin America. He is an active researcher in blindness prevention. Dr. Gonzalez’s training and experience brings cutting edge patient care philosophies and the practical application of medicine to our communities.
