EDINBURG, Texas — This Fall, explore the wonders of nature at Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center (EWBC) any day of the week! EWBC is now open Sunday afternoons, giving residents and visitors more access to this unique nature park.
The site features 3.5 acres of butterfly garden, 2.5 miles of walking trail, several picnic areas, ponds and water features, and an Interpretive Center with a gift shop. Junior Ranger backpacks and binoculars are available on loan for those wishing to explore the grounds on their own. For a more guided experience, the experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable staff offer weekly bird walks, family craft programs, outdoor skill programs, gardening classes, citizen science projects and more. The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands & World Birding Center is located at 714 S. Raul Longoria Road (in the Edinburg Municipal Park), Edinburg Texas. Fall hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday (with a 30-minute early closure November 7th to January 2nd due to daylight savings time).
