Texas Border Business
EDINBURG, Texas —The City of Edinburg and the Office of the Mexican Consulate in McAllen will host a three day free event in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
The event will take place at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard (415 West University Drive) on Friday, May 1, and runs through Sunday, May 3.
The event will feature more than 70 artisans from various regions of Mexico who specialize in handmade and unique products like pottery, art, textiles, jewelry and candies.
Friday May 1
12 –10 p.m. Artisan Fair
6 – 7 p.m. Opening Reception featuring UTPA’s Mariachi Aztlan
7 –10 p.m. Noche de Mariachi: Edinburg North Mariachi de Oro, Mariachi Imperial, Mariachi
Premier de America
Saturday May 2
12 – 11 p.m. Artisan Fair, fun children’s activities, games, prizes and live music by Grupo
Internacional Constelación, La Sonora Makaleña and Zereno.
Sunday May 3
12 – 6 p.m. Artisan Fair
3 – 6 p.m. Tardeada de Tríos
The three day event is free but food and beverages will be on sale.
