EDINBURG, TX – The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, City of Edinburg and Edinburg Economic Development Corporation have created a Business Recovery Task Force to help with the recovery efforts related to Coronavirus. The Task Force launched an initial survey on Friday, March 3, 2020, to assess the economic impacts of COVID-19 on local businesses.
“This initiative will help us gauge what methods we should implement in our recovery efforts,” said Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director at the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce. The organizations urge the importance of filling out the survey as it will demonstrate to local leaders what programs will be needed in Edinburg.
The input of business owners will help demonstrate the common challenges, improve the Task Force comprehensive response strategy, and deploy resources to address critical business needs.
“We want to do everything we can to support the economic livelihood of our local businesses,” said Mayor Richard Molina. “We face a new challenge with this virus almost daily, but we are going to work with the Chamber and step in to provide help to small businesses in Edinburg. We are in this together.”
The survey can be found on www.edinburg.com and has been sent to Edinburg Chamber members in their digital newsletter. For more information on the Business Recovery Survey, call (956) 383-4974 or email information@edinburg.com.
