EDINBURG, Texas – It’s time to show off that holiday spirit! The City of Edinburg is excited to announce that the ‘Deck The House’ Holiday Decorating Contest has returned to crown a new set of winners this year.
The contest gives residents the opportunity to participate in friendly competition as they put their best Christmas decorations on display for a chance to take home an award and the bragging rights that come with it.
| Participants are encouraged to turn their homes into the most festive on the block. Award categories are as follows: |
| Whoville’s Choice: Most Traditional Festive |
| Holiday Classic: Most Elegant and Clean Display |
| Griswold Award: Brightest Entry, Judges Choice/Best Overall |
| Buddy the Elf Award: Most creative use of lights/decorations |
Registration will open December 2 and continue through December 13, 2024, at 7 p.m. Those interested in joining in on the fun can email lucasrodriguez@cityofedinburg.com. Winners will be announced on December 17.
