EDINBURG, Texas — The City of Edinburg is proud to welcome back the Special Olympics Texas RGV Spring Games, a celebration of inclusivity, determination, and athletic excellence. Taking place at Richard R. Flores Stadium on April 3-4, nearly 2,000 athletes from across the Rio Grande Valley will compete for gold in track and field events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is free, and the community is encouraged to come out and support these inspiring athletes as they showcase their talents and sportsmanship.
The excitement begins on April 2, 2025, with the Athlete Celebration from 5-7 p.m., leading into the Opening Ceremony at 7 p.m. This special evening will unite families, friends, and competitors for a memorable kickoff to the games.
As a four-time All-America City, Edinburg takes great pride in fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We invite everyone to join us in cheering on these incredible athletes and celebrating their hard work and perseverance.
