EDINBURG, Texas – Get fired up, Edinburg! Fire Stoppers Festival is back and bigger than ever.
The community is encouraged to join the Edinburg Fire Department for the 32nd year of their highly anticipated event, now featuring the addition of an exciting character parade for residents of all ages to enjoy.
The festival, free of charge, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Central Fire Station. Attendees will be able to enjoy food trucks, vendors, and kiddie rides, as well as a free screening of the popular 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Fire Stoppers Festival aims to emphasize the importance of fire prevention through educational activities that allow residents to take home valuable information that will keep them safe daily. In addition, the event will include costume contests, a foam party, mini golf, an animal exhibit, and so much more. The character parade, starting at 7:30 p.m., will begin near Edinburg City Hall on Eighth Avenue and McIntyre Street and end on Tenth Avenue and McIntyre Street in front of the Edinburg Fire Department.
