The City of Edinburg celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Edinburg Fire Station 5, located on Edinburg’s northside. This prime location offers a distinct advantage to the area, cutting the typical response time in half.

Edinburg Fire Station 5, a multi-purpose department, serves as a fire department, EMS, and police substation. The fire station will house five firefighters, four fire apparatuses, four K-9 handlers and their K-9’s and two ambulance personnel.

The station will apply for credit with the Texas Department of Insurance. Due to the proximity of the fire station, residents within a 5-mile radius of Edinburg Fire Station 5 could qualify for a credit on homeowner or business insurance that will reduce insurance payment amount.
