Edinburg, TX— The Edinburg Fire Department received statewide recognition for its exceptional contributions to fire prevention at the Texas Fire Marshal Association meeting.
Several department members were honored for their professionalism and dedication:
- Lt. Frankie Joe Salinas – Jack Sneed Award for outstanding professionalism
- Lt. Homero Garza – Roscoe Gibson Award for upholding the highest standards in fire prevention
- Chief Omar Garza – Dan Mayes Life Membership Award, one of only 32 awarded since 1977, recognizing extraordinary service within the Texas Fire Marshal community
“These awards reflect the dedication of our team and our commitment to protecting lives and property in Edinburg,” said Chief Omar Garza. “I am proud of every member of our department for their leadership and professionalism in fire prevention.”
