Live entertainment will follow starting at 4 p.m. on the Fire Department Stage, which will be located next to the Fieldhouse. Kikker Daddy Legacy, Bucking Crazy, Briana Rocha and headliner Michael Salgado are all scheduled to perform.
October is Fire Prevention Month and firefighters hope to take advantage of the mass gathering to talk about the importance of having a family escape plan as well as working smoke alarms. Throughout the event, children will have the opportunity to practice crawling through a room filled with fake smoke and learn important techniques like stop drop and roll. Firefighters will also conduct a live burn demonstration of a kitchen to show the dangers of grease fires.
