Edinburg, TX – The Edinburg City Council announced its unanimous decision to lower the proposed tax rate for the City of Edinburg for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. The proposed rate has been reduced from 64 cents to 63 cents per $100 valuation, reflecting the Council’s commitment to responsible fiscal management and addressing the needs of the community. This is the lowest proposed tax rate for Edinburg since 1991.
