Edinburg Chamber to discuss new PPP application rules during webinar event

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation will be hosting a Paycheck Protection Program webinar on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 10 A.M.

During the FREE webinar, the two local organizations will break down the new steps being taken by the U.S. Small Business Administration to further promote relief for small businesses. Topics included are PPP funds, deductions, credits, application updates, and additional resources for small businesses.

One of the new application updates is the  U.S. SBA 14-day, exclusive PPP loan application period for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees.

This application period will allow sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals to receive more financial support. The 14-day exclusivity period will start on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 9 A.M.

“Small businesses are important to the economy as they employ nearly half of the American workforce,” said Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce.
