The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate Letty Flores and Ruby Casas, as they have tied for being selected as our Chamber Ambassador of the Month.  All of the Edinburg Chamber ambassadors are dedicated individuals; however, Letty and Ruby have shown tremendous support at all of the Chamber events. Ambassadors of the month are chosen on a point system. The more events they attend representing the Edinburg Chamber, the more points they can accumulate. Both Letty and Ruby earned the title of Ambassador of the Month for June 2019.

This is Letty’s second month in a row for being chosen as ambassador of the month. Letty is a Regional Strategist at The Monitor in McAllen and has been with the company for 23 years. She has served as an ambassador for the Chamber since January of this year and really loves to see how the different businesses tick.

Ruby recently celebrated 10 years with Ruby Casas Farmers Insurance. She wanted to become a more active member with the city of Edinburg, joined the Ambassador program at Edinburg Chamber in April of this year, and has been a constant presence ever since.

When asked why Ruby became an ambassador, she said, “I took the initiative to join the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce because I wanted to get more involved in my community.” She continued, “Additionally, I am hoping to lead by example and encourage other business owners to also get involved and share that there are great things happening in our city.”

A Chamber Ambassador serves as a greeter at ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and mixers. They can also provide membership support to members, and assist the membership committee with member visitation.

Congratulations to both Letty and Ruby and thank you for all your support! To learn more about our Chamber Ambassador Program, please contact Zayda Pachecho, our Director of Membership at the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce at zayda@edinburg.com or call 956-383-4974.
