EDINBURG, TX- In efforts to reach hard to count communities the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will host its Caffeine with Colleagues: DHR Health Community Update on Thursday, August 27, at 9 A.M.
As the September 30 deadline for the U.S. Census fastly approaches community leaders are urging the citizens to participate, “It is important for people to know that their voices can be heard not only on election day, but also in the census data,” said Mario Lizcano, City of Edinburg Complete Count Committee Chairman.
The goal of the 2020 Census is to ensure that every resident in Edinburg, TX is counted, “the City of Edinburg is currently at a 61.3% compilation rate, that is above the state average,” said Lizcano.
Topics discussed at the virtual event will include the impact of plasma against COVID-19, Voting initiative across the RGV, Update on the U.S. Census completion in the RGV, and the U.S. Census Ambassador Scholarship.
