EDCOUCH, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol will be holding this school year’s third “Head of the Class” ceremony to honor high school seniors who demonstrate exemplary character and determination to succeed. The keynote speaker will be Michael Banks who is the Patrol Agent in Charge (PAIC) of the Weslaco Border Patrol Station. He will be speaking at 10:25 a.m. PAIC Banks is a prominent member of the community who encourages younger generations to pursue an education and to remain persistent to achieve limitless opportunities. The event will feature the announcement of a new award for school educators.
Please join us as we recognize high-achieving scholars and leaders of tomorrow. The schools include Donna North High School; Donna High School; Weslaco High School; Weslaco East High School; Mercedes High School; Mercedes Early College High School; Progreso High School; South Texas High School for Health Professions; South Texas Science Academy; Edcouch-Elsa High School; Santa Rosa High School; Lasara High School; Lyford High School; La Feria High School; La Villa Early College High School; Monte Alto Early College High School.
