McAllen Independent School District (MISD) Superintendent Dr. James Ponce was recognized at the last chamber board meeting for his service on the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “James’ contribution to the board was highly valuable. He brought his knowledge and insight in education, and always brought forth his vision for the future of our community,” said Steve Ahlenius, Chamber President/CEO. “His involvement enhanced the great working relationship and partnership that exists between the Chamber and MISD.”
The McAllen Chamber Board of Directors is comprised of community business leaders who represent various sectors and perspectives in the community including education, banking, healthcare, workforce development, real estate and small business. Board members work together with the Chamber’s CEO and staff to develop the Chamber’s program of work and policies, and are responsible for its finances. TBB
