Project Runway RGV is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sky Tower Club located at the Chase Tower, 200 S. 10th St., in McAllen. Project Runway RGV will showcase the creativity of local designers who will come together in a competition of talent, ambition and fashion. Designers will design and create a unique dress, which will be judged on originality, best made and best innovative design. The audience will also participate by voting for its favorite for the People’s Choice award. The highlight of the event will be a live auction for all the designs entered in the competition. Rio Grande Valley designers interested in participating are urged to contact the Chamber for more information.
Tickets will cost $15.00 per person and $25.00 for VIP seating along the fashion runway. A portion of the proceeds will benefit cancer research. The evening will include a cocktail & hors d’oeuvres reception. Sponsors include The Valley Wedding Pages, Mary Kay Cosmetics and the Sky Tower Club.
