McAllen ISD’s graduates in the Class of 2020 have set a new district record in scholarship earnings, soaring past $54 million.
McAllen ISD’s graduating class has earned a collective $54,025,316. This surpasses the previous record total by more than $3 million. Last year, McAllen ISD graduates earned $50,733,937 – a difference of $3,291,379.

- Fifth straight year to surpass $35 million in scholarships
- Six-year total of more than $242 million in scholarships
The students’ awards ranged from $250 to full tuition paid scholarships. McAllen ISD recognized approximately 1,770 diploma-candidates during graduation ceremonies held in early June.
