Edinburg, TX – The 15th Annual “Fishing for Hope” Tournament will once again kick off on South Padre Island on August 28, 2021 after the pandemic forced it to be cancelled last summer.
Anglers from all over the state will converge at Jim’s Pier on South Padre Island to participate in one of the largest non-profit tournaments on the Texas coast!
“Fishing For Hope” is family-friendly and fun event for people of all ages and will feature a dinner, the legendary stars auction, and much more. We will be following CDC guidelines at the time to ensure a safe and healthy weekend.
All proceeds from “Fishing for Hope” will once again benefit the Hope Family Health Center which is located in McAllen and is run by local volunteer physicians and staff, all of which provide their time and services without charge.
As our community grows, so do our medical and health care needs—the physicians and staff at DHR Health have acknowledged this and have come together to contribute to this worthy cause.
In past years, the event has raised over $1.2 million for the Hope Family Health Center and organizers are currently looking for sponsors and participants to make 2021’s event even more successful.
