EDINBURG, Texas — The Edinburg Police Department is actively investigating an Injury to a Child case involving an incident at a local daycare facility.
On Monday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., investigators took 58-year-old Alma Enriquez Garza, the manager of the daycare, into custody. Garza has been charged with Tampering with Evidence, a third-degree felony under Texas law.
Following her arrest, Garza was arraigned and released on a $15,000 personal recognizance bond.
