EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) and the City of Edinburg are excited to welcome a Courtyard by Marriott hotel to the area.
The 70,065-square-foot facility will feature 104 rooms, an ample meeting space, a full kitchen, and other various amenities. The hotel, located on 2.62 acres at 700 E. Wisconsin Road, is set to be completed within 24 months of the construction start date.
Once operational, the Courtyard by Marriott will create 25 full-time jobs for those in the surrounding area with a capital investment of $14 million.
“We’ve brought so many new amenities to Edinburg in the past year that it’s only fitting that we work to provide people with a great place to stay while they’re here,” Raudel Garza, Executive Director of EEDC, says. “Whether it’s to experience the restaurants and sights unique to our city, or taking part in a sports or music event, we want visitors to keep coming back. We thank Ocean Gate Hospitality for their investment in us.”
The business will bring an estimated revenue of $4 to $5 million annually to Edinburg.
