EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg announced the upcoming ‘Cool City’ Celebration set for Saturday, April 11, 2026. The community is invested to attend the family event.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees can enjoy various activities at the Promenade Park Amphitheater in recognition of Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Community Development Week, and Stormwater Awareness Week. City departments will be in attendance to share more about their functions, staff, and resources, all while providing a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

The community can participate in a bike raffle on-site, visit tree nurseries to learn more about going green, engage with vendors at various booths, and take advantage of water conservation presentations with the Utilities Department. Residents will also be able to participate in a tree adoption event, made possible through a partnership with the Texas A&M Forest Service and Region One, while supplies last.
