FALFURRIAS, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Agents arrest a smuggler with a prior conviction for second degree murder.
Yesterday afternoon, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents working at the Falfurrias Checkpoint referred two subjects in a black Honda Accord for further inspection. In secondary, agents determined that the passenger is a Colombian national illegally present in the United States. During processing, record checks revealed that the driver, a United States citizen, has an extensive criminal record to include a conviction for second degree murder from Louisiana where he was sentenced to five years incarceration.
