WASHINGTON– Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) was awarded the Guardian of Small Business Award by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) for his work in the 115th Congress. Members of Congress receive the NFIB recognition for voting in the interests of small businesses.

“As a former small business owner, I know the challenges of starting a business, including finding the resources and funds to get started, and just as important, how to the keep the business running,” said Congressman Cuellar. “Small business owners are the backbone of our economy and we must do all we can to foster entrepreneurship and growth. As a federal representative, I am committed to creating an environment where business can thrive. I thank the National Federation of Independent Businesses for presenting me with this award for the 115th Congress.”
