In the continuing effort to keep residents well informed and involved in their community’s growth and development, District 2 Commissioner Joaquin “J.J.” Zamora will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, February 18 at Lark Community Center, 2601 Lark Avenue, starting at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will serve as an opportunity for residents to learn more about what is happening in the community and discuss their concerns, as well as give their ideas and input.
Members of the McAllen City Manager’s Office will be in attendance to answer any questions and will provide updates on current and future projects in District 2 including street projects and an update on Texas Department of Transportation highway construction. Additionally, the City of McAllen staff will present information on the ongoing drainage projects in the district.
Topics specific to District 2 include hike & bike trail improvements and park rehabilitation projects, traffic issues, as well as an update on transit mobility in the district.
