LAREDO, TEXAS – Commerce Bank is proud to announce the appointment of Hernán Saldívar Maldonado and Greg Morgensen to the board of directors.
Saldívar is the founder and owner of Dicex, a global trade, logistics, transportation, and distribution company with over 2,000 employees and 35 offices across Mexico.
“I am honored to serve on the Commerce Bank board of directors,” said Saldívar. “I look forward to working with the other board members and the bank’s leadership team to ‘Make It Happen’ for the members of the Laredo and international business communities.”
Morgensen has worked in the car business in Laredo for over 30 years. He currently serves as Dealer Principal at Family Chevrolet and Family Nissan. He is an active board and executive committee member of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the board of Sisters of Mercy Health System and St. Augustine High School.
“I have always been drawn to serving the community, and I am looking forward to supporting Commerce Bank’s initiatives,” explained Morgensen. “As a long-time Laredoan, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on this board.”
Commerce Bank President & CEO Ignacio Urrabazo, Jr. said the experience and wisdom both Saldívar and Morgensen will bring to the board is sure to greatly benefit the bank and the Laredo and international communities.

Saldívar graduated from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Morgensen is a graduate of Northwood Institute in Midland, Michigan. He and his wife Kelly have four children, ages 21-27.
