MCALLEN, TX (May 16, 2017) – Graduating high school seniors, current South Texas College students and prospective students looking to enhance their skills in the workforce can get a jump on their career goals by enrolling in summer classes at South Texas College. Summer I & Summer III semesters begin June 5th.
For added convenience, the South Texas College Pecan Campus in McAllen and the Mid-Valley Campus in Weslaco will both be open this Saturday May 20, from 10 am to 2 pm to assist with registration. Advisors can help with developing a degree plan and personnel in the cashier’s office can find a budget-friendly payment plan. Financial aid is still available.
South Texas College is among the most affordable colleges in the nation with flexible schedules that work around busy lives with courses that transfer to universities of choice.
Summer classes are ideal for students needing to stay within their degree timeline.
South Texas College also offers students the ability to earn their degree at their own pace by registering for any one of the dozens of mini-mester classes beginning on May 22.
Mini-mesters are ideal for students who were unable to begin the semester in the typical fashion. They’re shorter in length and offer flexibility for a busy schedule. As an extra bonus, students can register for a Mini-mester course right up to the first day of each class.
For the summer 2017 term, mini-mesters are offered in 4 to 14 week sessions with the first starting on May 22, and the last starting on July 31 before the fall semester begins.
Mini-mesters offer the same quality instruction and the same credit, in a shorter time span. Several core classes are being offered in traditional and online settings.
