Weslaco, TX – The City of Weslaco and the Weslaco EDC are preparing for the city’s 2nd annual 4th of July Celebration – brought to you by Valley Grande Institute – on Monday, July 4, 2016 starting at 3 p.m. at the Harlon Block Sports Complex located at 1020 W. 18th Street in Weslaco.
This year’s free event will feature some of the Valley’s best entertainment featuring comedian Raymond Orta, Madelyn Victoria, Veronique Medrano & the Puro Party Band, and the Texas Sweethearts. In addition, there will be arts & crafts vendors, food & drink vendors, free snow cones & ice cream for children, free patriotic LED bracelets courtesy of Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics, a petting zoo courtesy of Moreno’s Feed & Pet Store, family friendly activities such as a zip line, a rock climbing wall, bungee games, inflatable games, trackless train rides, a dunking booth, and a fireworks spectacular scheduled for 9:15 pm! Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and comfortable shoes.
