Peñitas, Texas – Peñitas Mayor Rigo Lopez and the Peñitas City Council will hold a press conference to update the public on the proposed improvements to Tom Gill Road. The press conference will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Hidalgo County Precinct 3 office (724 Breyfogle Rd, Mission, Texas).
The project is a joint project between the City of Peñitas and Hidalgo County Urban County Program, and the purpose of the press conference is to update the public on the project status. Construction has commenced, and the project will provide intermediary improvements to Tom Gill Road from Expressway 83 northward.
“We are proud to announce that the Tom Gill Road street improvements project has commenced. We anticipate that further permanent improvements to Tom Gill Road will be made in the future, as part of a broader state road improvements plan, so this critical project will provide a suitable, intermediary fix in the interim,” said Mayor Rigo Lopez.
