Palmview, Texas – In an effort to promote goodwill this holiday season and to help community members in need, the City of Palmview has launched the Palmview C.A.R.E.S. (Community Assistance Reaching Everyone Supportively) Donation Center, because Palmview CARES about our commUNITY!
The City of Palmview is seeking donations from community members to help our Palmview neighbors in need this Christmas holiday season. The Palmview C.A.R.E.S. Donation Center began accepting food, household items, and clothing donations today, Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Palmview Recreation Center (406 W. Veterans in Palmview). The first 100 donors will receive a FREE t-shirt.
Palmview City officials will be on hand at the Donation Center at 10 am on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, for media availability and interviews as the center continues to receive donations and to promote the Christmas donation drive. Please email news@cityofpalmview.us if your media outlet will be attending and would like to coordinate an interview.
The Christmas Donation Drive will run through Friday, December 18, 2020, and Palmview officials will distribute donated items and goods to identified families in need on Tuesday, December 21, 2020.Â
Acceptable items for donation include food items such as unexpired canned or bottled goods, new or gently used clothing, and household items in good conditions.
