The Mission Police Department hosted a Police & Fire Memorial Ceremony this morning, to commemorate National Police Week.
The organization is paying tribute to Mission Police Officers Jose Luis “Speedy” Espericueta Jr., Jorge Cabrera, Humberto Javier Avila and Fulgencio Velasco III. They also honored the numerous first responders across the RGV and our country, who have died in the line of duty.
Local law enforcement agencies from across Hidalgo County joined Mission police officers and firefighters in honoring the heroes lost.
