The City of McAllen will be hosting two meetings inviting the public to comment on the newly drafted Unified Development Code (UDC). The meetings will allow the City of McAllen to gather input as the community to discuss the proposed changes.
The first public comment meeting will be held at the Planning & Zoning Commission Workshop at McAllen City Hall Commission Chamber, 1300 W. Houston Ave., third floor on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. A second public hearing will be hosted in a townhall-style meeting by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, 1200 Ash Ave., on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
Comments and suggestions can also be submitted via email to planning@mcallen.net. The draft code is available both at the McAllen Planning & Zoning Department office, located at the McAllen Development Center, 311 N. 15th St. and on the City of McAllen’s website, at www.mcallent.net. The comment period will run through Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
