City of McAllen officials, in conjunction with Hidalgo County will be hosting a second dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the McAllen Convention Center, 700 Convention Center Boulevard.
The second dose Moderna vaccines are for those who were vaccinated on April 16, 2021 at the McAllen Convention Center and the clinic will run from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Confirmation e-mails will be sent to all, but if not, please arrive by 7:00 a.m. and bring a completed registration packet. Additionally, anyone looking for a first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, should arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Those vaccinated on this day will receive free museum admission, thanks to the International Museum of Arts & Science.
Anyone who receives their first or second vaccine shot at the McAllen Convention Center in May, and shows a vaccination card with “MCC” will receive free admission to IMAS, located at 1900 W. Nolana Avenue in McAllen, during the month of May. One person may visit as many times in May for free by showing their vaccination card with MCC.

Please note the following updated entrance directions:
- Entrance is through 29th St. and Col. Plummer Drive (Galveston Ave.) at light
- Follow Col. Plummer Drive to the right to the west side of the McAllen Convention Center
- Parking and entrance for the clinic will be on the west side of the McAllen Convention Center
Vaccines will be administered by Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department nurses and Texas National Guard.
