McALLEN, Texas – For the safety of its employees and all visitors to McAllen City Hall, the City of McAllen has implemented new security procedures for entering the building. All visitors to McAllen City Hall, including employees at other City of McAllen facilities, residents, visitors, vendors and the media, are required to show photo identification at the front entrance of the building, located at 1300 W. Houston Ave., will wear a visitor badge and will only be allowed to enter designated department.
“These security measures are truly for the safety of all who enter McAllen City Hall,” said McAllen City Manager Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E. “With the number of visitors that our McAllen City Hall sees on a daily basis, these security procedures will provide peace of mind to everyone who comes to this building for legitimate City of McAllen business.”
Accepted forms of identification will include a state-issued driver’s license or ID; passport; or employee/work badge with photo. Visitors will wait for a Visitor badge to print, which must be worn at all times.
