Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo congratulates Mayor Pete Saenz, Health Director, Richard Chamberlain, Emergency Management Coordinator, Chief Guillermo Heard, and other industry leaders on being recognized by the INDEX Nuevo Laredo (Asociación de Maquiladoras de Exportación de Nuevo Laredo).
These recognitions were given with appreciation for their collaboration on the achievement of the Binational Vaccination Program, which was carried out during the months of July and August. Through this program, more than 5,000 workers in the maquiladora industry of Nuevo Laredo received the COVID-19 vaccine. The recognitions were given during a special ceremony at La Posada Hotel on Thursday, October 28.
