EL PASO, Texas – The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) in partnership with Pho Tre Bien and Ai-Hwa Chinese Language School invites the community to ring in the Year of the Snake at the Sixth annual Lunar New Year Celebration.
The free, family-friendly event is centered at the El Paso Museum of History and takes place in the Downtown Arts District corridor beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1.

The celebration continues with a cultural procession at 3 p.m., featuring vibrant traditional attire and items, winding through the Downtown Arts District. Following the procession, attendees can enjoy the dragon dance and other cultural performances at 4 p.m. in Cleveland Square Park.
Local food vendors will be stationed near the El Paso Museum of History, offering a variety of delicious treats. Attendees can also explore Lunar New Year-themed pop-up exhibits curated by the El Paso Museum of History, El Paso Museum of Archaeology, and El Paso Museum of Art. Festive décor throughout the event venues will add to the celebratory atmosphere.
