EL PASO, Texas – The City of El Paso’s Office of Management & Budget (OMB) has earned the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Adopted Budget.
Additionally, the City’s Office of the Comptroller continues to demonstrate financial excellence, earning the GFOA 2023 Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the 30th consecutive year. The City also received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) for the 3rd consecutive year.
“These accolades reflect our commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in financial management,” said City Manager Dionne Mack. “They are a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team and the trust placed in us by our community. We will continue to strive for the highest standards in serving the citizens of El Paso.”

OMB’s prestigious award represents the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting and marks the department’s 29th consecutive year receiving this honor—a significant achievement reflecting our commitment to excellence in financial management.
