]EDINBURG, Texas –The City of Edinburg is proud to announce that Lizette Gomez, Human Resources Assistant Director, was named “Professional of the Year” by the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA) due to her unwavering commitment to her position.
Having dedicated four and a half years of service to the City of Edinburg, Lizette has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, including her ability to guide employees, develop talent, and ensure operational efficiency.
“Lizette’s recognition as ‘Professional of the Year’ is a testament to her dedication and hard work,” said Human Resources Director Belinda Torres. “We are incredibly proud of her achievements and the positive impact she has had on our team and community.”
Lizette’s outstanding contributions earned her recognition from the TMHRA, and she was honored at the association’s Annual Conference on May 8, 2024, in Denton, TX.
