There are still thousands of Edinburg residents who don’t have power and their refrigerated food has gone bad.
To help these families, the City will distribute non-perishable food to 3,000 families on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
This is a drive-through distribution. Residents will not have to get out of their vehicles.
“On top of the destruction in Edinburg caused by Hurricane Hanna, we’re also still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina. “We want to help our residents who are in need of food but we also want to make sure it’s happening as safely as possible. We have our city staff manning the distribution and putting bags of food right in your trunk so residents don’t have to get out of their cars or have any contact.”
The food distribution will happen at the Edinburg Activity Center located at 123 E Palm Dr, Edinburg, TX 78539.
You must show proof of residency within Edinburg City limits.
