The City of Alton, Alton Economic Development Corporation, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. and the Property Tour Committee hosted a commercial property tour on Tuesday, March 20. Alton city officials and the Alton Economic Development Corporation coordinated the first Commercial Property Tour to inform potential real estate brokers, Investors, commercial lenders and commercial realtors of the properties in Alton that are available for development.
Gabriel Garza with Credit Management Concepts and Property Tour Committee Chairman contacted Steve Pena, CEO for the City of Alton Development Corporation and together with representatives of Edwards Abstract and Title Co., the Alton Commercial Property Tour came to fruition. Special guests who attended included commercial lenders, brokers and real estate agents who realize the potential for the community located in the north corridor of western Hidalgo County and the proximity to Hwy 107.
Coordinating this effort along with fellow sponsors, Edwards Abstract and SAMES Engineering & Surveying, Credit Management Concepts, the City of Alton and the City of Alton Development Corporation welcomed guests as they listened to a special presentation regarding the purpose of the Tour, infrastructure improvements made in Alton, and highlights regarding the six commercial tracts that are available. They also provided property packets to potential investors and their agents. The gathering took place at Alton City Hall 509 S. Alton Blvd. A Taste of Alton was featured courtesy of several restaurants who provided a delicious breakfast and pastries.
Edwards Abstract and Title Co. provided chartered bus transportation to tour the areas in the community that are ready for commercial development. “Edwards was interested in assisting with the Alton Commercial Property Tour because of the commitment shown by City and EDC leaders of Alton. This community has devoted many resources to make its mark and to grow with the region,” said Elva Jackson Garza, Vice President and Marketing Manager for Edwards Abstract and Title Co. “This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground work of Alton’s progress.” said Jackson Garza.
Steve Pena, CEO for the City of Alton Development Corporation has been a driving force behind the growth in the community. “Our first Commercial Property Tour was a great success and well attended,” said Steve Pena. “Thanks to all of our sponsors: Credit Management Concepts, Edwards Abstract and Title Co., SAMES Engineering, City of Alton, the CADC, and a huge thanks to all our food sponsors: Gorditas La Original, Benji’s BBQ, Jr. Supermarket and Don Felipe’s for providing the breakfast. The tour identified land available for development and space availability in its current plaza’s within the City of Alton,” said Pena.
